Foundation primate anatomy/sculpting tutorial i have been putting together with Badking.com is finally live! A great foundation exercise for beginners starting out learning ZBrush or professionals needing to expand their visual library before diving back into imaginary creature designs. As with my other tutorials, all models and layered files are included with purchase. The first week of sales will be offered at a discounted price so get it earlier than later!

YUKON PIT CREW - PART 1

2014 resolution number two, collab with friends.

Helping Vaughan flesh out some sort of pit crew for his YUKON racing creature, here was the first crack at some sort humanoid creatures that could operate on the YUKON for repairs and things during a race, will be refining and exploring more ideas as we lock down what these guys might look like with the intent to make some cool little scene that could be a nice little collectible 3D print through HEAVYPOLY Industries later in the year. Email Vaughan if ya'll are interested in a 3D print at Heavypoly@gmail.com.

For more badass stuff from Vaughan Ling check out his site:

Here is about an hour of video of the first pass on these guys from start to finish.

ZBrush for concept artists Vol. 2

This feels like it was done a lifetime ago, cool to see it finally coming out though! ZBrush for Concept Artists Vol. 2 coming very soon! Keen to see Vol. 3 wrapped up which will be sculpting and illustrating the dual hammerhead looking creature, posing scenes and all that fun stuff. Will think of some other goodies and freebies to include in the last 2 volumes. :)

Free models/tutorials :)

Quick robot arm and hexapod study from earlier today for practice based on some of the reference i posted a few weeks ago on Facebook for my students.... DL link on my website if you want to mess around with the models.....Because sharing. :)

For the robot arm, it's all decimated down to keep the file size low, but you can 'split to similar parts' or 'group split' in ZBrush to get the individual pieces and re-dynamesh to get a more dense form to modify and build something more complex.
